Can I register for programs if I am an international student?
Yes, our programs are online, so you can complete your certification from anywhere in the world.

What software or hardware do I need in order to take your online programs, and what are the system requirements?
In order to take our online programs, you must have access to a computer and the Internet. You can access the program content from any web-enabled computer. You do not have to use the same computer to log into the program every time. We recommend that you have a word-processing program (Microsoft Word is the best) and an up-to-date version of your preferred internet browser.

Can I use a Mac?
Yes.

Who will be my instructor?
Each student is paired with a facilitator for one-on-one interaction. The facilitator will be available (via e-mail, phone or Skype) to answer any questions you may have, and to provide feedback on your performance. All of our facilitators are successful, working professionals in the fields in which they teach.

How long does it take to complete a program?
All of our programs are self-paced and open enrollment, so you can start them when you want and finish them at your own pace. When you register, you’ll receive six months to complete the program.

What if I don't have enough time to complete my program within the time frame provided?
The time allotted to complete your program has been calculated based on the average number of hours for each program, so don't worry too much about not completing in time. If, after a concerted effort, you are still unable to complete a program, your instructor will help you work out a suitable completion date. Please note that a fee may be charged for any extension over 3 months.

When can I start the program?
Our programs are all open enrollment. You can register and start any program at any time. Please allow up to 3 business days for your student information to be incorporated into the system. We will send you the needed enrollment information directly once we process your course purchase.

Do I have to buy additional materials?
Yes, textbooks are an additional charge, though we strive to keep our textbooks affordable.

Can I get financial assistance?
Our courses are non-credit courses, so they do not qualify for federal aid.

What happens when I complete the program?
Upon successful completion of the program, you will be awarded individual certificates of completion for each course, and an overall certificate for the program completion. You will also join the Mediators Without Borders international alumni network, and receive regular notices of our current events.

Am I guaranteed a job?
We do not provide direct job placement services, but you are welcome to apply to any job openings we have now or in the future. Certification in an INACCORD training program is a necessary prerequisite for all of our employed mediators, arbitrators, and restorative justice practitioners.

What if I already completed a Mediators Without Borders live classroom or online training in the past?
Many of our course have been recently restructured and updated with our proprietary INACCORD conflict analysis model. The only approved provider of our training is ed2go or through our website. No other mediation training qualifies as our training is specific to the InAccord model and has been updated every 6 months. Please contact us if you have any questions about these changes.

How can I get more information about this program?
If you have any questions that are not answered on our website, please feel free to contact us. We will answer your questions promptly.

What is your refund policy?
For refunds requested within ten (10) calendar days commencing on the date listed as the Start Date in the MWB Student Campus, seventy five percent (75%) of the tuition amount shall be refunded, provided no more than fifty percent (50%) of the program has been completed.
No refunds shall be available after the ten (10) calendar days commencing on the Start Date listed in the MWB Student Center, unless written justification is received from the Student within the original access period of the Student’s program, not including extensions, transfers or holds processed, and complaints are found to be valid based on MWB's investigation.
The cost of course materials received or those that cannot be returned shall not be refunded to the Student. Refunds shall be paid to the Student or loan forgiveness shall be granted within thirty (30) days following the deactivation date of the program.
